Hi! Wink

I have no doubts it's real!
The thing that can happen with bootlegs is that they get re-copied by other bootleg companies.
I know there are various versions of the "If I Like It, I Do It" bootleg (my copy had strange colours on the CD) and I *think* two companies issued a similar "Songs for Manitu".

Cheers!

Very true, Trolll.

The Songs for manitu have 2 releases, in European and Russian.
The differences are:
The Russian bootleg as got 12 tracks (2 of them were linked into 1)
The European, as got 13 tracks

So, which is the tracklist of "Songs for Manitu"?
I´ve got my copy in Buenos Aires and I cannot remember right now.

Let's place it like this. The original CD, is the European with 13 tracks.
Years later, came out the Russian Edition, with 12 tracks.

To be honnest, apart from a few exceptions (Jazziroquai, Funky Paradise...), Jamiroquai bootlegs don't worth a lot of money, especially compilation or fake "best of"...
For example, the "If I Like It I Do it" bootleg, or the "Ultimate Live" or "Ultimate Studio Tracks" are easy to find on eBay...

I reckon the most valuable commercial Jamiroquai bootlegs are JAZZiroquai, Funky Paradise, HEY Mr. BOOGIE and Songs For Manitů. These are the ones that are hardest to find... the price/value is usually controlled by supply and demand.

The reason 'If I Like It I Do It' is quite easy to find and at a pretty affordable price too can probably be explained with the following:

* Many copies made (in comparison with the more valuable bootleg titles).

* There's another bootleg called 'Too Young To Die' which is the very same gig and audio quality... and it's even cheaper and easier to find.

* The BBC 582 CD was ripped lossless and distributed on the Internet.

Other than that it's a very fine soundboard recording of quite impeccable quality, and it's a proper silver CD bootleg.

€168? Wow, not bad. I reckon I paid about 5% of that back in 1996. I'm never selling it though. Such a shame I didn't bought spare copies. But to be honest I never really thought of bootlegs as an investment back then. I definitely must keep my eyes open if I attend some record fairs during the autumn. Sometimes bargains can be made. I must add to the rare list, the Legalize it, cosmic sessions, touring without moving and cosmic ride.

These aren't easy to find. But true, some others are really easy.

The last bootleg, released to the market, that is somehow difficult to find in CD, is the Tokyo Dome 99, from the lastest DVD.

Hi Jonas Very Happy

If you go to Sweden...to a records fair, and find something interesting, and you haven't enough money, just call me Very Happy
In Hungary there is a record fair sometimes, in Budapest, Petőfi csarnok.
There is many vynil too, rare hungarian editions..etc..
