Hello again,
Just found a small picture of the other new album cover for the vinyl release of 'RDLS' coming out on April 17th, Record Store Day, it's on the slideshow banner on the main page of 'Executive Music Group's website' here, really dig the white brick wall with a blue spray-painted Buffaloman on it:
http://www.executivemusic.com
Also, additionally, I finally found some information about the 'Executive Music Group', as I surmised, it is indeed a subsidiary of Universal Music, here is the information compliments of Sister Darshan (thanks much appreciated!):
Fontana Distribution is a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. Executive Music Group is one of Fontana's labels.
From Wikipedia: "Fontana Distribution has been known to successfully round up albums worldwide from national Universal Music Group companies for American release"
Will post again when I hear/see more! Cheers!
Sincerely,

Wow, the vinyl and CD covers don't even relate to each other. At all. Someone over there in marketing doesn't give a shit... _________________

from EMG website homepage, its nothing really new:
"Executive Music Group has announced that they will be releasing Rock Dust Light Star in North America this month! The vinyl will be released on April 17th and will include a Limited Edition run for Record Store Day 2012. The CD comes out digitally and in stores the following week on April 24th. The artwork to the left is the cover for the CD. More details to be announced soon."
does 'more details' pertain to the album itself? or something else?
i guess we just gonna have to wait and see what's next |

'Waiting' seems to be the constant since Jamiroquai signed with Universal Music..more in a bad way than more than in a good way. I don't see how they could excite me any further, maybe they will be releasing a deluxe edition with the bonus tracks at the same time as the standard CD release on the 24th, that's about all they need to do to be slightly 'forgiven' for their past transgressions. But the chances of that seem very slim, more like maybe a 'bonus CD' gimmick with the bonus material on either the digital release/CD release. Just wish sometimes that Universal Music had people who actually 'love music' and would treat their artists with 'dual respect', for the artist and their musical reputation. Cheers!
Sincerely,

The only way they can revert this situation is if they release 'Your Window is a Crazy Television' and/or 'SuperHighway'.
I'll be willing to forgive them with all this bad marketing. |

As I would I too Brother Diego . But I get the sneaking suspicion that they might be saving those 2 other stray RDLS compositions for the next album cycle, they should have at least been 'B-Sides' for the singles that were released during this era. Cheers!

with all due respect , RDLS is (to me) a freakin B-side from the Dynamite era. I'm afraid that the non-hardcore American fans can look past Dynamite or even worse and hear WKR and cry. This is why they (band) need to give us a "funk-shock" and improve the quality of radio here. And a really nice eye-popping video.
Then I'll get excited
(forgive me if this don't make any sense, im sleepy) _________________
